Cricket World Cup Schedule

In 2011 World Cup, fourteen teams will participates, divided into two groups each contain seven teams.

Group A concludes Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Canada while Group B concludes India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands.The tournament will start on February 19th at Mirpur, Dhaka with the game between India and Bangladesh and tournament will ends on April 2 in fixed up Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai with the Final. There will be overall 13 venues used for the cricket world cup tournament.

2011 Cricket World Cup Schedule


The Cricket World Cup will organize during February and March 2011.

The opening match of cricket world cup will be played on 19 February 2011 between India and Bangladesh at Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.

The World Cup was at first to have been hosted by Pakistan as well, but in arouse of the 2009 attack on the national cricket team of Sri Lanka in Lahore, ICC were forced to band Pakistan of its hosting rights.First quarter final will be played on 23rd March in Colombo, while second quarter final will be played on 24th March in Mirpur, Dhaka. Third quarterfinal will be played in Ahmadabad, India on 25th March and fourth quarterfinal will be hosted by Sri Lanka in Colombo on 26th March 2011. First semi final will be played on 29th March in Colombo and second semi final will be played on 30th March in Mohali, India.

The semi-final venues have planned at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka and Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, India. The final have to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India.
