ICC Cricket World Cup Groups

The most lovable tournament of the world, 10th ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be held in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Over 43 days, there will be 14 countries participating for the Cricket World Cup title. The groups were finalized during the International Cricket Council's (ICC) board meeting in South Africa. The ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat has to announce the cricket world cup group with all Board members.

As decision of International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket World Cup 2011 will be hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Pakistan was also hosted for cricket word cup but due to security reason (terrorist attack on Sri Lanka's national Team in 2009 in Lahore) ICC has forced to strip hosting right.

The tournament will starts from 19th February and end on 2nd April hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The total 49 cricket matches will be played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. In the Cricket World Cup 2011, 14 teams divided in two groups will be playing in the ODI format. In Group A, Teams are Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada and Kenya. While India, South Africa, West Indies, England, Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands have placed in Group B. The top four sides from each group will then progress to a directly sensation phase of quarter-finals, semi-finals and then the final.
