IPL -Indian Premier League

Indian Premier League famously Known as IPL is the Twenty20 cricket competition organized by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and supervised by BCCI .

Vice President Chirayu Amin, chairman & commissioner for IPL and CEO Sundar Raman. The IPL is the most watched TV program in India. The IPL currently includes 10 teams franchisee and consisting of players from different country. The most successful teams are Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings. The current champion is Chennai Super Kings.

In India, the IPL has become one of the most popular events. IPL represented positive reactions from the rest of the world also.

In Pakistan, the reaction was described as "massive". The first season had started on 18 April 2008 and matches gone on 46 days with 59 matches.

In the first season, games were played in every night (including weekdays). The winner of first IPL tournament was Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings. The final match was played at DY Patil Stadium, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Due to security problem 2009 IPL 2nd season had held in South Africa. The IPL had become a big hit in South Africa due to a large composition of South Asians in their population. Another reason for the success of the IPL 2 is that the second edition of IPL was hosted at South Africa drawing enormous crowds from the country as well as the other countries in the subcontinent.

Deccan chargers won the title against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. The third season of IPL begins on January 2010. Only 11 players were sold out and 66 players were on offer. Mumbai Indians was the very impressive team of the IPL 3 and reached to final. But they could not win the final. The Chennai Super Kings won the final over Mumbai Indians by 22 runs.
